If there's ONE thing we can agree on regardless of political ideology, it's often that money and politics ought to stay away from one another. Of course, since the Citizens United case, money has BEEN politics. And We the People paid the price.
But money can't buy every election. Just ask Eric Hovde, who failed to garner enough votes to win a US Senate position from Wisconsin voters. He re-emerged, minus the mustache, to bemoan once more his loss to Senator Tammy Baldwin. No, he didn't come out to congratulate Senator Baldwin on her win nor on the excellent work she's done in the Senate since. He turned on his camera from state unknown (almost certainly California) to reiterate election denialist conspiracy theories. BORING! Meanwhile, Senator Baldwin continues to serve Wisconsin and the United States well and true. She pressed Linda McMahon, nominee to be Secretary of Education, on dark allegations.
