Kicking of this week, some parents and employers are going to notice a disruption next Monday, when a number of daycare providers close their doors or take other actions to call attention to how the lack of affordable childcare options has reached crisis proportions in Wisconsin. Corrine Hendrickson, a childcare provider from New Glarus, previews the 4th annual Day Without Child Care and the need for substantive childcare assistance in the next state budget, now that federal pandemic aid is nearly gone.

Then Dave Schroeder, Research Director for WI Security Research Consortium, joins the Maggie Daun Show to highlight vulnerabilities in national infrastructure and the insidious nature of disinformation campaigns. Dave reminds us that in the age of disinformation the goal is not to always separate us from our money but to separate us from reality.

Lastly, John and Gordy in the Morning welcome to the show Dr. Tim Slekar to the show to discuss the impacts of artificial intelligence, a.k.a. AI, of both hurting and helping critical thinking skills. Is it the tool that is to blame for those impacts? Or possibly something else?
